TESLA LIGHTING is one of the main LED lighting manufacturers. The history of the company starts in 1921. That year a company named after Elektra entered the Czech market. That company manufactured electronics. In 1932, Philips acquired Elektra and then the company focused on the production of radio receivers. Actually the brand became very well known to Czech people during the World War II since the BBC message “London calling” was broadcasted by the radio devices produced by Elektra.
After the war the company was nationalized and was named TESLA, after the popular and well recognized for his innovations scientist, Nikola Tesla. In 2012, under its licensed brand name “TESLA Lighting” has begun to manufacture its own LED lighting products suitable for home, professional, street lighting use as well as other more advanced applications.
TESLA LIGHTING invests heavily in Research and Development (R&D) and has an in-house R&D facility where new products are developed and tested before are put in serial production. The entire range of TESLA LIGHTING products is currently manufactured under systematic technical supervision and strict quality control in certified factories in Portugal, China and Switzerland.
